HAIR 10-PANEL is a confidential drug and alcohol test offered by The Walk-In Lab at Advanced Practice Wellness Clinic for employment, legal, or personal screening needs.
Standard drug testing measures drug by-products in the urine which move through the body quickly and for most drugs are no longer measurable after 1 month. Drugs are deposited in the hair shaft through absorption into the hair follicle. Testing is conducted on the hair shaft which prevents external contamination on the outside of the hair that may occur during accidental exposure, such as being in the same vicinity as someone using drugs. Traces of drugs will remain in the hair longer than in the urine or the blood providing a much longer detection window. Most often a 90 day detection window is requested for hair follicle drug tests. TEST DETAILS The 10 Panel Drug Test, Hair Follicle tests hair clippings for the presence/use of 10 drugs, generally for a detection period that includes the previous 3 months. The test will cover use of the following drugs: Amphetamines Barbiturates Benzodiazepines Cocaine Marijuana (THC) Methadone Methamphetamines Opiates (Codeine & Morphine) Phencyclidine Propoxyphene FAQS IS A DOCTOR’S ORDER REQUIRED? No. You do not need to provide a doctor’s order to get lab testing done at Advanced Practice Clinic. DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT? No. You can walk in for same day testing.
